Most IWS research projects are conducted by undergraduate and graduate students at WWU studying freshwater lakes, streams, and wetlands in the Pacific Northwest, or in the Bellingham Bay estuary. The Institute supports student research by providing field and laboratory training, and can assist, on on a limited basis, with freshwater sample analyses.
